Bro's 24th Bday

Ok this post is a little bit late cos I was busy going out and about.

Bro celebrated his 24th bday with a bbq at Lin's place. So its not by the beach but by the roadside, we still manage to have fun and eat alot of food!!! Uncle Fendi of cos was the bbq expert. We had lots of yummy chickens, prawns, hotdogs, otak-otak and satays. Aunt Rash and Uncle Salleh brought yummy durians!!! Not sure why usually I don't eat alot of durians but somehow that day the durians were super duper yummys!!!

We manage to sabo the bday boy who does NOT (how can anybody does not eat!) eat durian!!! Infront of all his friends some more! I think bor really had a good time cos its not often he had a bday party.......

My Partying Days

This March holidays has been super super busy. I am suppose to be starting my Maternity leave and just rest @ home and started doing my work while I am away from school. BUT.....its the holidays!!!!

The 'Makciks' planned a "Surprise" Baby shower for me. At least they thought I was surprised (the trick to surprising people is not to EVER talk about it infront of them!) Hahahaha. They brought me out to lunch first in town. We ate @ Swensen's ION which was surprisingly empty! We had different dishes so that we could all try out. Kak Su and Kak Lin also had the Ice cream / Dessert buffet which Soul & Me had always wanted to try but it was always crowded when we went! However didn't have the stomach to eat it that day ;(

And then they brought me to Gallery Hotel where they have decorated the room with my baby's gifts. Aawwwww...I was actually very touched reading the notes they pasted to make a scrapbook. And I guess I missed my 2 gerls who are not around on that day.......

Went baby shopping today with Mum, sis and bro. Chaos!! But very fun! So many nice things...wish I have the money and place to spend on her. However, I know it is unnecessary.

Bought the important things like clothings and finally decided on a playpen/bed. Ok lah hopefully it can last untill baby gerl bigger! The rest of the things can wait for people to give. Muahahahaha!

Karokeing/Movie Marathon

Had our monthly karaokeing/movie marathon at Aunt Rash's place today. She cooked yummy asam pedas ikan pari with sotong masak hitam (both my favourites!!). Had a big serving and then baby in tummy fell asleep while we watch "Prince of Persia" and "You Again".

"Prince of Persia" was not bad. Surprisingly I was kept in my seat. Jake Gyllenhal looks good with the long hair after a while too.

Unfortunately, had to leave early cos Soul is performing his Capoeira at our CCK sunshine place.

Maybe its time for a change

Work is begining to sux big time. I mean I still love the kids and what I am doing for them but at times, I begin to wonder if its really for these kids future. The changes made does not make sense at time and I begin to wonder if its just me.

It is damn irritating to see that the people rewarded are the same group of people who does not seem to ever make much effort for the children. I mean, they complained when they have extra work, when they have to come on sats and hols, they've never voluntered their time more than when needed and they are not as committed as some other teachers I've seen. Does doing paperwork really matters? Handing them on time? Sheesh no wonder they have no time to volunteer and are always rushing home. Because they have to polish their paperworks so it will look good. I guess it does not matter if the paperworks just does not benefit the children.

Its no wonder all the good, hardworking teachers left/are leaving. Maybe its time for me too.....

34 weeks and counting down

Ok I've carried her for 34 weeks. Can you imagine it?? I can't! I still can't believe at times how miraculously (is that how you spell??) it works! She is moving alot more now. Its not only kicking,but literally MOVING. At times, my tummy looks like a big wave moving from one side to another. At other times, I can literally feel her kicking my kidney, stomach, liver........The pain at times is so unbearable!!

Really can'twait for her to comes out. Everyone predicts that she will comes out earlier than planned. Although I am concerned bout the pain I have to go through, I hope she will not make us wait long either. But maybe not too early!

Everyone seems so excited for us that it is so scary. It seems as if so much is expected out of this baby gerl. What if she does not turns out the way everyone expects her. Then how??

For me, I am not sure what to expect. I just hope everythings turns out alright.

New Year, new resolutions, new dreams.....

Happy 2011!!

Its been a good year, 2010. So many good things happen personally. One year of marriage and am still loving every minute it. Although alot of things planned didn't come true, I am glad for the things that did.

Got to go Phuket. Soul's first time on the aeroplane. Am glad we did it! Although it was not as good as how I thought Phuket would be, we had a good time cos its just the 2 of us ;).

I manage to run a short 5k marathon. Been wanting to do it so am glad that I manage to do it this year.

Work has been good. Learnt alot, experience alot. I know where i stand in my carreer and that matters most. Others things that happen at work are just passee.

Can't believe I got pregnant! Did not plan for it at all! We definately enjoyed having time to ourselves. Now planning for a family, is another big step for both of us. Changes is undeniable. We so looking forward to it and for me personally, I get to experience it all.

This year I have only one resolution; to get my fit body back once I've delivered! And I know it will be the biggest challenge ever........

Signs

There are so many signs we did not see. Feelings can't be described. Could this be real? Its a new directions. So many decisions have to be made, have to be changed......are we ready for this??

Once upon a time...happily ever after

Once upon a time, there was a Girl and a Boy. They went to the same school, in a same town, in a same country. They did not meet until they were 11 years old. When they first get to know each other, they were still naive, thinking that the world revolves only around them. Girl was busy with her friends. Boy was busy playing. Boy always makes Girl laughs. They sat together in class and always gets punished for laughing. Girl knew she loves Boy. But Boy being a boy was oblivious. They got separated chasing different dreams.

Girl grew up falling in and out of love. But she never forgets Boy. Boy grew up doing things he loves. They never met, never kept in touch.........

One day Girl found Boy on the internet. She msgs him. He msgs back. Girl gave hime her number and he calls her. For days they talked on the phone about everything under the sun. Girl felt like she was in cloud 9. They set a date to meet up.

On the day they were to meet, Girl was feeling exhilirating. And when they met, Girl knew Boy was THE ONE!
And so, BOY and GIRL fell in love. Their love was never as easy as everyone thought. They have their ups and downs. But one thing for sure, they knew their kind of love is one of a kind and they would never give it up easily.

So Boy and Girl got married. All their family and friends are happy for them. And so they live happily ever after.....for now....

2 months on

Its 2 months to being married. Life seems to get better. Can't believe how well we are both adjusting to it. Then again...its only 2 months. Maybe we will see the difference more in 2 years??

Everyone's been really great. Seems happy for us. Can't wait for the new year! Our first married new year!!

Chaos In Life

My life has just turned chaotic!!! And i thought previously it was already chaotic enough........

Hai...just stepped into a new phase of life. Never ever imagined that I would get to here so......
Marriage life is not a breeze ok!

Got up every morning (or at least I try to) to make breakfast for Soul. Kind of cool cos I get to make things that I've never tried before. Can't wait to get our own place so can try to whip up more things. We usually spend the weekday going to school together and coming back together ;) Hahahaha its like 24/7 of togetherness. I loike!

But now my 24 hours are not only around my family and friends! Now its My family, His family, My friends, His friends and ourseves! Ok if u think u got no time for urself now, well wait till u are married!

We still have not gone for our honeymoon cos we are still busy managing the time to adjust to each others but soon!
So far so good. Everythings in place in life. Its as if nothing can make it go wrong. But again, anything can happen and everyday changes.......

Too many things

As the days gets nearer,it seems more things we have to go through. Somehow I feel its more for me.

Not the type to bother to keep many friends, but yet the friends I depend on always lets me down.....especially when I need them the most......

Reflections

So many things on my mind till I had forgotten about our 4th year anniversary. 4 years!!! I keep asking myself how did I actually get here. How did WE get here!!! I have always fall for the rebellious bad boy kind. The boys I've gone out had been totally selfish, self indulgent, and nowhere can be compared to Soul. Hahahahaha!

Again....how did I get here? So many things to look out, look to at......I can't beleieve it. Everyday i woke up thankful for what I have. Looking forward to what I am going to have. Everday is a challenge to get where i want to be. And it is not a destination. It is just being there, being here.....

A whole day with the Animals

Woke up late yesterday. Had not had a relaxing sat for quite some time. Anyway was woken up by a phonecall from a parent. Time was 11:30. There is no way I can go back to sleep now. Read my book. Damn! The story has end. Now what! Went online. Surfin through......Hmmmm.....interesting...... The zoo, night safari and Birdpark is opening its door to all teachers! Cool! Called Soul. Meeting up at 3:00 pm. Time to shower and dress.....

The weather seems cool. Not too hot and not too cool. Met Soul at cck interchange. Its going to be a good day cos we did not miss the bus ;) The bus ride was calm. Not crowded at all. Reached the zoo in 15 mins. Went to queue to get the tix. Yeah!!! we're in!!!

So many animals to see! So many pics to take! Get to feed the kangaroo!!! Eyyuuuu their saliva all over my hand!!! But very cute creatures. So rare to get to do this ;) We walked around, trying to visit all the animals. The white tiger still so handsome! Got to see one of the elephant dance for us. hahahaha that was cute too. Saw 2 young chimpanzees playing tag. We sit down alot, talk alot, take pics of me alot!!!

Left the zoo, time to head to night safari. Damn the queue seems long! How come all the teachers are here?? Its ok, its not that long. Got our entry chop on our arm. Now to find a seat to break fast. And wait for Khairizal. Talked some more. Watch the entertainment. So cool so many people. Ok time to eat! And he is still not here! Never mind we eat first. Finally he came and we have finished our food.

Went in...quick lets head to the "Creatures of the Night Show". The MC was wonderfully entertaining. So bochap and not shy! Very good! We enjoyed it so much! Ok lets walk. Saw the tiger, yawning away. The giraffe was too far away. Walked the leopard trail, met the leopard. Can't seem to remember the name of the rest of animals. Damn my animal vocab must be limited! Let's go for a drink first before we head home. Dropped by the souvenier shop first. Ooohhhh!!! saw a cute Tiger bag! Awsome I'm getting that! So Happy!! Ok let's go for the drink!

Would Love be just as transparent????

Was riding the bus home after a long day? My faithful MP3 plug to my ears. Daydreaming about the days to come. Planning what to do,what to wear. Bus stopped. In my mind, "One more stopt to go......"

A man caught my attention. He was what? In his early 30s? After allighting he was standing facing the door. Waited after a passenger got down, he raised and stretched his hand to the door. A woman hold his hand. She was pretty and not pregnant. They walked home, side by side.

I smiled wondering if they were newlyweds? Or is their love still going strong and so transparent. Its rare to see this kind of gestures......How many would envy it, I wonder again??

Hen Night

Just woke up and feeling a bit groggy.......

Had my hen night yesterday with the makciks. I can't believe that they would plan such a wonderful surprise for me. Soul was very good at pretending not knowing anything at all.

The ladies did very well decorating the room. I am so touched by the efforts they put in. Planning to eat seafood since last week so as not to arouse my suspicions!! Classic. However there was some tell tale signs that makes me suspicious. Hahahahaha. But I had a wonderful time! We did have our seafood after all!

Long weekend

Wohooo the long weekend is here!!!! Cannot wait!!! So exciting!!!!

First thing first.....

We had our wedding pics taken. Wheeee!!!! We had lots of fun but of cos was very exhausted by the end of the day. We had 6 different outfits to change into! We had our pics taken at West Coast Park and a carpark near Westmall shopping centre. Hmmm....y did we pick this place? Honestly west coast park was last minute. We initially wanted to take at Bird Park but due to time constraints..... The carpark was an empty carpark and the view was awsome and somehow different. Anyway we will see how the pics turned up ok! we did not want our pics to be taken "Natural" cos I sooo cannot act cute/funny infront of the camera so we had our pics taken in a "Modelling" mode frame. Don't play play ok! Singapore's Next Top Model!!!! hahahahaha

Michael Jackson passing..........
Ok I am not a really big fan of him (unlike my sis who knows every song, every story and everything about him!) but I love his songs (the one I knew lah) and I respect him as being one of the greatest legend in entertainment in the whole world. I most of the time ignore the stories bout him but can't help feeling sorry for him to endure all the paparazzi. His untimely death was shocking and sad. Whats more, leaving his 3 children whom he loves so much, still young. Although I felt his face was getting weirder, there is still no denying that he is a legend that cannot be replaced. He will definately be missed.......

On another note.....

We managed to get a short getaway to JB. Hahahahaha very short lah only one day! Had a wonderful time shopping and makan! Felt really relax.....

Lastly......

We are making good progress with our wedding preps. We have gotten all the important things out of the way. We've gotten our rings ;), I got my bag which I had been looking for like soooo long!! We have picked our wedding costumes ;) and made our cards. Now all we are left to do is just get married! hahahahaha! you wish it was that easy!
